Complex societal challenges demand innovative ways of learning, living, and working together. The Learning Lab and Learning Lab Foundation focus on building capacity for a renewal in education and oranisational learning for a resilient society, and develop knowledge and approaches for social innovation.
Dr. Thieu Besselink, founder of The Learning Lab; “the laboratory for me is a place of inquiry and creation in a collective effort to understand and form ourselves and the not yet sustainable world around us, to contribute to it with audacity and respect, and to grow in what makes us human – our creative capacity for meaningful action.”
We host and develop learning labs for and with agents of change. We develop university education, organisational learning, and social innovation labs. As we believe the next generation has to reinvent the world in which we live, we ask ourselves: what and how do we need to learn both individually and collectively in order to realize a transition to resilience in ourselves, our organisations and society? “People come to us with a question, or half a sentence, an itch. They want to make a difference because it is the way they give meaning to their work, and because they recognise that this time is asking for a difference.”
- To create meaning through what you do by understanding why you are doing what you do.
- To create relationships that can foster collective intelligence and commitment across domains and differences.
- To create disruptively to unlearn what we are used to in order to see and build what is needed.
